True reconciliation requires accountability, a shared commitment to truth-telling, and consistent meaningful action. Action like:

🔸 Centering Indigenous knowledge in practice

On this #NDTR, we wear orange honour the survivors of residential schools, recognize the multigenerational impacts of white-settler colonialism, and confront the ongoing systemic violence faced by Indigenous communities.

On Day One of the school, participants, faculty, and organizers split into two groups for local community visits. Half visited the Quilombo Dona Bilina, a Quilombola community, while others visited the Nova Holanda, a community of the Maré complex.

Last week, two @participedia.bsky.social Schools were held in China and Japan, with @hansasenbaum.bsky.social representing the Centre.

Hans explored how digital tools and AI can make democracy more deliberative and engaging.

👏 Congratulations to Participedia for this innovative teaching journey!

Landed in Rio some days ago for the @participedia.bsky.social School on Democratic Innovations with Traditional and Indigenous Communities.

We are hosting two public roundtables next week, on decolonising knowledge production, and on intersectional leadership.
