I'm also a huge fan of mega [REDACTED] but it really took the wind out of my sails that you can't get one until like 90% of the way through the game.

I've never been huge on megas or Kalos and the battle system just never clicked for me while I was playing. And the story wasn't really For Me. But it does have great music, charming animations for all the Pokemon, and good moment-to-moment dialogue writing. Cute sidequests too.
