I've had my fair share of losing out to lower-waged resources but pinning the blame on the resource doesn't solve the root of the problem. Developers, skilled or not-so skilled, are just trying to put food on the table. IMHO, the problem will persist...

I was on Hexo, then moved on to Docusaurus! Same considerations... static website and hosted on GitHub. Some maintenance needed, but not much.
