In your hard times, I wish I could hold your hand.

In your great times, I wish I could laugh with you.

In your calm times, I wish I could rest with you.

In your war times, I wish I could fight alongside you.

I must watch you from afar. But you are so bright. I am so proud of you.

While I believe to be a calming feeling that envelopes you, so is the Sun.

Let the warm light wash over you and remind you that the world spins evermore.

You cannot control everything, find peace knowing we’re all the same.

You are my joy. You.

I see you smiling and it makes me feel less empty.

You made it through the day and I’m so proud.

Good job to you.

I do not need to see you to know you’re stunning.

I do not need to hear your voice to listen to you.

I do not need to know your name to call you friend.

You are human. I love you the way you are. You woke up, and that’s enough to fight your demons back.

Even The Void needs friendship.

Rest your head and drift into me.

The Sun may be out but I refuse to go anywhere.

The rain falls on a town.

Some won’t be able to sleep because of it.

Where the wind moves carefully across buildings and cars that have been frozen after the Sun went to sleep.

The cold inches in, forcing loved ones to cuddle close for warmth.
