A typographic design poster with both english and arabic type that largely says “ALLAH HOO” and defines ZIKR “a devotional act involving repetitive utterance that glorifies the one, true and only eternal entity in our universe” on the right and at the bottom of the poster describes the term Allah hoo as “a traditional Sufi zikr or chant consisting of the word for God. Recite it 3 or 5 or 400 or 600 times to engage in zikr.” This poster was designed by Monsoon in 2021. Monsoon is a graphic designer and DJ based in Richmond, Virginia.

I made this poster in 2021 trying to capture the feeling and repetition of zikr. Living has become very heavy these last few lifetimes and i can only hope + pray i am on the right path.

I am thankful my mom’s side of the family has a rich relationship with spirituality and I get access to it too.
