New Mexico’s border economy depends on stable, fair trade policies. I recently met with manufacturing leaders in Santa Teresa to hear how economic uncertainty is hurting jobs & investment. Manufacturers deserve transparency, not the reckless, haphazard policies being put forth by the administration.

I recently met with Las Cruces officials, educators, nonprofit leaders, & advocates to hear how the city & public schools are partnering to support our kids. Together, we're keeping young people out of the criminal justice system, creating pathways to brighter futures, & making our community safer.

Last week, I introduced the Stop COYOTES Act and the No More Narcos Act to stop human smugglers, fentanyl traffickers, and cartels in our border communities. I’m proud to share that the Las Cruces and Sunland Park Police Departments agree these bills are a step in the right direction for safety.

Last weekend Florida lawmakers got a chance to visit Alligator Alcatraz, and the reports that came from that visit were shocking. We can’t stand for this as a country — this is not who we are.

Hearing directly from our farmers, ranchers, local business owners, and constituents will be essential as we work to secure the support they need.

Farmers, ranchers, food banks, and wildfire crews in my district depend on a functioning USDA — not just for support, but for their survival. Last month, I secured a commitment from Secretary Rollins to visit Southern New Mexico and see firsthand the everyday impacts of USDA funding cuts.

I just left the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Office and send my deepest condolences to the family of Patrol Deputy Antonio Aleman and our entire community. His life was tragically cut short at just 33, and his wife and two children face an unimaginable loss—please keep them in your prayers.

Forgot to put a change of clothes in my backpack, so stuck in my suit for circle time. These kids drive a hard bargain on snack time policy. Our kids are our future!

More rain is likely in Ruidoso in the coming days, and the NM delegation is working to bring federal disaster relief funds to the community. Thanks to local and state officials, cleanup efforts are underway as we tackle this recovery effort together.
