A nice drive alone Apopka’s Alligator Drive yesterday.

Caught his shot yesterday on Apopka’s Alligator Drive in Central Florida. I stayed in the car.

I bought this for my wife. This is the story bought bloom, but it will have many more. We presently have about a dozen plants. Some are several years old.

How old is the tree? Next year should be better.

(1967 Pa. to San Francisco and back, 1978 2 months in Europe, multiple canoe and backpacking trips, and several flying adventures.

The Mayan Inn in Chichicastenango, Guatemala has a clipped Scarlett Macaw. It sat on my shoulder in 1981. It was still there a few years ago. It is close to 80 now, if it is still alive.

I was told a village of my Peace Corps site in Guatemala needed an actual school in 1982. At my urging, they constructed an actual building. Locals feared petitioning the dictator’s government. As a US citizen working with 3 different international agencies, I knew I had little to fear.

As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Guatemala (1982-1983), I found it to really be a good movie. We were all show a movie about a successful attempt to build a bridge in Asia by locals, with help from Peace Corps Volunteers. It also covered how some volunteers really go native.

I took this on Lake Griffin Florida about 12 years ago.

After over 75 years, the single lane bridge still stands. It is open when it is not submerged.

The Nebraska Bridge on Tionesta Creek. The bridge is closed when the dam at Tionesta, Pa. (Built in 40s) floods the bridge. I am here with my 2 older brothers in 1955.

This is Silvia and Victor with their grandchildren in 2004, shortly before Victor died. My training group of 8 had dwindled to just me during active political unrest, so Victor was my best friend.

This is me with my “family” in Guatemala as I trained for the Peace Corps in 1981. Victor and Silvia are gone, but I am friends with some of the, then children on other social media.
