Seriously! This thing is currently holding everything I used to keep in my cargo pants, plus two full-size hairbrushes, a travel-size lotion, and a nail file! And I get to walk around with a cute macrame bag!

And there's still enough extra room for snacks, when needed...

Lesbians who both carry purses are OP. I would've transitioned much sooner if I had understood the inventory potential of an all-purse-wielding party.

I know people complain about the lack of pockets in women's clothing, but honestly, moving from cargo pants to a purse has been a major upgrade.

Obviously there's lots of people of both genders who do neither, and just treat me normally, and that's cool too. But the ones who really feel strongly one way or the other stand out, and it's kinda cool.

Some women (and so far it is always women) look at me and their eyes light up, they smile, as if to say, "Look at you, being true to yourself, living your life the way you want! Good for you! You go girl!"

Meanwhile all the scowls and looks of disgust or confusion come from men.

Being obviously trans in public has unlocked a new superpower; I can immediately tell who the best allies are and who the bigots are. All without a word being spoken. It's like "detect good/evil" in D&D or whatever.

I've been doing mine for years before I even truly transitioned, and no, the compliments never get old.

I once had a nurse express disbelief that they were my real nails because they looked too perfect. ☺️ It was a great day.

I love waking up every morning, looking in the mirror, and taking in the subtle changes that 3 months of HRT have brought me. It's not much yet, but I can definitely tell.

It's especially delightful because I know that how I look now is the most masculine I'll ever look again.

Plain pancake, margarine, and maple syrup for me. Sometimes I'll have some fancy toppings, but I grew up with those simple flavors and that's still my go-to.

Although my wife makes banana pancakes that are marvelous.

I really didn't think "many of the strangers I interact with are extra nice to me" would be a likely outcome of me being publicly, visibly trans, but that's been my experience and it brings me so much joy.
