Trying out Soshiko on my jeans. Haha wish I'd used a better matched thread to sew the edges of the patch, but we're in too deep now.

I've never been inside but they were able to rebuild the Chinese history museum in Lytton after the fire. It's small but might be worth checking out if you're passing through! The little gas station across the river in Lytton also has a good snack selection. A lot of the town is still being rebuilt.

Nasturtiums are the best! Have you tried tasting any of them? Very radishy!

Wiggly Plein Air ~

Been quiet for the last few months. Please enjoy this wiggly playground plein air and some spring blooms.

I liked the bun, it read as a bit romanticized to me. Like she thought on some level she should have a formal slicked back bun but she let herself have an ode to Victorian hair for fun. Showing the contrast between the position she was in as captain and being a woman trying to live her own life.

Simple cross stitch of 5 characters from lower decks and the word "Sequoia". Originally I had planned for this just to be the four characters and the word but had to change the design when I knew T'Lyn added herself in the last season to the shuttle door.

Quilting Part 2 ~
Made more progress, I've chosen a light rumpled cotton with bright flowers as the backing fabric and bamboo for the fill. I machined a few straight lines to keep things together and now I'm hand quilting a diamond shape around the perimeter squares of the blanket. #quilt #quilting

Repurposed 3 old sweatshirts and a band tee to make a new sweater. I love this patchwork style.
