In light of the grief hitting NDN Country's LGBTQIA+ and Two-Spirit communities with #Pride month JUST starting it makes what I'm about to shed light on even more infuriating because once again a lot of organizers and organizations are still treating Indigenous folks as afterthoughts.

Yesterday, it seemed like a dog was trying to stop our car while we were driving by in our new neighborhood. I think she wanted us to help the turtle that was in the road. So, I, of course, picked up the turtle off the road. The dog was very friendly and very interested in the turtle.

I had a nightmare that I lost Mei in a sea of other b/w Dutch bunnies (clones), and I was so worried I wouldn't be able to find her again... until I remembered that she has one eye and the fur on her ears didn't grow back as expected. (They had to shave her ears to put the IVs in for her surgery.)

As much as I love soup season, I strongly believe that soup is one of the perfect summer foods. It helps you stay hydrated and is quick to make without heating up your whole house.

4 framed Pokémon cards in a cross formation. The top card is a Japanese Pikachu card from ~1997. The other cards are old shiny cards of Wigglytuff, Pinsir, and a Japanese Skiploom. The cards were not stored properly, but the only card in semi bad shape is the Pinsir because it looks like dog bit it repeatedly.

This is the only "art" hanging in our new house so far. My husband found his old Pokémon cards in a box on Mother's Day when we were at his parents' house.

I would suggest scheduling some time after the procedure for self-care if you can. (And just FYI, there may be some blood, which no one warned me about so I didn't have pads on me.) I cried a lot after my first pap smear even though the doctor didn't do anything wrong or hurt me. It gets easier tho
