Yes, hello, sorry to be a bother but we wanted to announce again that it is time for our annual NAWP open mic. NAWP stands for Not at AWP and is an online space for writers who, well, you probably figured this out but writers who couldn't get to AWP.

I have a new one that is very close to being ready to send out...lmk if you like eco poetry that tackles AI, social media and representation...if you want a memoir of what it has been like to be an interfaith Jewish kid in a dysfunctional family full of loss, I have that, too.

If any presses want to publish my book in time for next year's AWP in Chicago, that would be cool....just saying

NAWP has utterly no shade for AWP. This question always comes up this time of year, like those little yellow flowers in the lawn fighting the snow. NAWP loves AWP, or, rather, NAWP actually know little about AWP because, well, NAWP can't AWP.

Sure! Kate gets the credit, folks. She put on a hell of a talent show with a band of scrappy kids to raise the money to save the local theater where we hold our open mics!

At AWP, Not at AWP, have kinda heard of AWP or NAWP but thought it was maybe an insurance company or something...whatever, it's all good! If you're a writer who wants to join our open mic for a short piece, keep an eye on this space.

Dude, you know it! Pretty sure we had someone join *from* AWP a while back. But my memory ain't what it used to be, so that could be from a dream, too. These days, I don't really worry about separating the two.
