I know its hard to keep track of the destructive nonsense that this Administration does. But hoo-boy. Washington's last coal plant has been on track to close for nearly 15 years and its illegal to operate here. Nobody wants it, including the utilities. But nope, Trump ordered it to keep operating.

I've been a member of the @sierraclub.org since I was 16 years old, and have been their lawyer in more cases than I can count. No organization is perfect, and they've had a bumpy few years for sure. But anyone who read the NYT hit piece from this weekend should hear their side of the story.

Washington turned back coal, maybe for good A coal terminal, proposed for Longview, failed. Underplaying how much coal would really be exported to the terminal was the plan's proponents' first mistake.

This is a solid retrospective on the epic fight to keep the Pacific Northwest from becoming a global coal export hub. We won through relentless organizing, brilliant political strategy, and focused legal work. Glad its getting some attention.
