To my elected representatives: @cantwell.senate.gov @murray.senate.gov @jayapal.house.gov: This is my position too: We are in a national crisis. I do not want to hear anything from you besides a plan to deal with it.
24.01.2026 22:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I know its hard to keep track of the destructive nonsense that this Administration does. But hoo-boy. Washington's last coal plant has been on track to close for nearly 15 years and its illegal to operate here. Nobody wants it, including the utilities. But nope, Trump ordered it to keep operating.

We are sleepwalking into one of the greatest social and economic transformations in history. There's plenty of room for a political party to come out and say, hold up a second.

I've been a member of the @sierraclub.org since I was 16 years old, and have been their lawyer in more cases than I can count. No organization is perfect, and they've had a bumpy few years for sure. But anyone who read the NYT hit piece from this weekend should hear their side of the story.

Weβve now taken the lead by 91 votes! π€― This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you havenβt tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!
No one needs to participate in this shameful venture. Don't buy his cars, stay away from his fascist AI, and hell no to house robots.
Everyone involved in this should feel profoundly ashamed.
Companies you interact with and give your money to - Apple, Amazon, Meta, Google, etc - are actively working in cahoots with a fascist authoritarian administration and I wonder if we should let them know that we're paying attention.

Read the dissent. The majority decision is not "merely absurd" - its dangerous.
Don't often see this kind of heat in dissents.
This is a solid retrospective on the epic fight to keep the Pacific Northwest from becoming a global coal export hub. We won through relentless organizing, brilliant political strategy, and focused legal work. Glad its getting some attention.

Trump is working overtime to cut the "people" out of the "people's environmental law"--NEPA. Their latest step was to unilaterally revoke regulations across every agency that implement this important law. The result will be chaos and environmental harm.
We're fighting back - read more here:
Today multiple agencies across the federal government revoked rules and standards implementing NEPA--our keystone environmental law. In their place? Not much. Here's our statement: earthjustice.org/press/2025/t...

Today we went to court to overturn the administration's reckless and illegal freeze of funding for electric vehicle chargers. Congress passed this funding in a bipartisan bill - Trump has no authority to refuse to distribute it.

I, for one, can hardly contain my excitement over the prospect of joining a movement whose core principle is that Trump has done good things. Sign me up!

Today the Admin filed 4 cases attacking state climate policies and initiatives - in Hawaii, Vermont, NY, and Michigan. West coast states likely next.
Outrageous and abusive litigation. The HI and MI cases challenge the states' *intention* to bring lawsuits against oil companies for climate harm.
What a joke. The only "emergency" here is a lawless and corrupt administration.
Any project proponent that tries to use these illegal procedures will be hanging an illuminated "SUE ME" sign on themselves.

When I was a law clerk in federal court, anyone carrying that much cash was just presumed to be a criminal and federal police took it away and made people go to court to get it back.
*by "anyone," of course, I don't mean white people.
Trump Admin continues its effort to gut the nation's keystone environmental law, NEPA, by revoking the rules that govern its implementation.
Its a recipe for chaos and confusion. Tossing out the rulebook isn't going to get projects permitted faster.

Drew Ensign's statement that "if Abrego shows up at a port of entry we will facilitate his entry" is beyond shameful. It is sanctionable misconduct.
We are a self-regulating profession. We get to determine who has a license to practice law. It is past time to hold DOJ lawyers accountable.
Just can't imagine why Dems are struggling to inspire their voters!
We are in the middle of a slow motion coup and economy-wide vandalism and this cringe garbage is their response. So painful.
The office of management and budget has invited the public to send in ideas for getting rid of government regulations.
I will be submitting my idea to repeal whatever regulation allowed OMB to hire a dope and failed coup plotter like Jeff Clark public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2025-06316.pdf
Kidnapping.
Capturing a person against their will without due process is called kidnapping.
Transporting them to another country without due process is called human trafficking.
A squalid extrajudicial prison for people found guilty of no crime is called a concentration camp.
