Today, my MIL is finally out of pain and free from all her traumas she faced in her difficult life. May she rest easy. 💔 She gained her Angel Wings on Christmas day. 👼 🪽

Merry Christmas Eve Friends. My MIL has been in the hospice inpatient unit since last Friday. It has been a roller coaster lately. I'm sorry to have been MIA. I truly miss all of you. I think if you often. May you all have a nice holiday however you choose to spend it. 🎄✨️💕

I slept a lot today. Certain the stress gave me an RA flare. She might come home tomorrow. Is it awful I'm hoping Tues? It's hard cooking & caring for two homes. 😞

Hi!! I hope everyone is doing well. Life has been very hard & draining since my MIL entered Hospice. This is up there with the hardest thing in my life. I've had a slight break because she has been at the intake unit for 3 days due to complications w/drain tube in her abdomen. My body is struggling

I am my MIL health care proxy & her caregiver. I received news today from her doctor that if her liver doesn't bounce back in 2 weeks, they're stopping chemo & want her placed on hospice. She is end stage liver failure. How am I going to break this to my husband. I'm gutted 💔💔💔

The tree is so beautiful. I bought the slim version of the home depot viral tree. I'm not sure how I'm going to decorate yet. Debating all red & white or old school mix of everything. I'm not doing my flocked trees this yr. What to do, what to do??!!!

Tanya I am really sorry you were placed in a position to feel this way. I know what that feels like. It's deflating. Your daughter knows your position in this & I don't doubt she understands and appreciates your support & just being there. Give yourself grace. Big Hugs. 💕

I hope it all goes well. I spent so much $$ doing this & that. It adds up fast. Trust me, they'll appreciate any help. My daughter & her now husband didn't realize just how much I did till the few days leading into it. They were so happy & relieved. You got this. It's a fun chapter of life.

Ok that is what you go in & do. That's sounds very reasonable. I wouldn't be giving a gift either. Not for a casual dinner of families just meeting. I wouldn't give my daughter a gift even if the engagement party lol she would be getting plenty help during the entire process lol

I wish I could add helpful advice. The only thing that comes to my first thoughts, who initiated the gathering? Typically, it's the inviter who pays, or I'd assume I'm paying for myself/immediate family. Can you casually ask your daughter what is expected?

Thank you for the kind messages. After 4 days, she is home from the hospital. So happy I don't have to go back & forth now. She is doing so good. Some new diagnosis to deal with but she is alive & moving around. I'm taking a few hours to myself to decompress 😌

Life has been lifeING again... Wed morning I had my MIL rushed to the ER via ambulance. Turns out she was bleeding internal & hemoglobin dropped to 4. She had blood transfusion for 12 hours. Her abdomen had to be drained of 4 liters. Had 3 small veins leaking in her esophagus. S.O.S. 🫠😫
