Yes. I think this is exactly right. How can research on prebiotic soup and the early geobiochemistry be meaningfully and scientifically connected with research that works backwards, phylogenetically, from later life to the LUCA?

There is a big data gap between research on the prebiotic soup and the last universal common ancestor (LUCA). It's a huge problem in Origins of Life research. Does anyone know of philosophers who have addressed this issue? Asking for a friend!
