There are HUGE issues facing farmers (Brexit, the supermarket stranglehold, climate change) but Reeves’ IHT increase isn’t one of them - most of us, like my family, simply do not have enough money to be affected. Fewer cos playing tax dodgers, will benefit British farming. Good on Reeves.

2| Millionaires, like Dyson and Clarkson, using farming land as a tax-dodge artificially increased farming land so ACTUAL farmers can’t buy new land to increase profits and stay afloat.
If Reeves’ IHT increase stops these dodgers treating farmland as a tax dodge commodity - real farmers win

My view on IHT and Starmer’s farmer dramas -
I come from a farming family, some of my most treasured childhood memories are of getting up early and going with my grandpa to go milking in the morning.

But we are no longer a farming family, because farming was no longer financially viable. Why?
