Back in 2010 I tore my knee in a sword fight. The doctor removed the remnants of the cartilage in my knee. Since then I have consistently had knee pain and twice a year injections to fill the knee.
It is long term. Day after day.
There are highs and lows.
Being active as a martial artist and then getting injured can be frustrating.
I can push myself through extreme pain and succeed in the short term. Such as a martial test.
I know I can let myself deal with the hurt after.
The trick is where the point of injury occurs.
