Several times this year, I’ve had coffee with fellow immigrants who grew up in corrupt third-world countries, and we all share the same sentiment: Americans have no idea how bad things are about to get.

That’s part of the voting revolution that needs to happen. First and foremost, reverse Citizens United and get rid of corporate money in elections. Get rid of PAC money. Get rid of donations outside of constituencies. Eliminate national parties funding local candidates (ie, everything but potus).

Imagine that - Superman, the greatest of American superheroes and an undocumented immigrant himself - was woke back in the 1940’s.

This is the wealthiest nation in history.

Instead of making sure everyone has food, shelter, & healthcare, WE ARE FLYING A CHILD RAPIST WHO WE PAY TO HIS GOLF COURSE WITH A COTERIE OF BODYGUARDS WHO WE ALSO PAY.
And we let him take bribes.

Bernie’s right - we do need a political Revolution. But to start with, just stop sending assholes to Congress to represent you. It’s easy to tell who they are - they’re the ones with “R” next to their name. If there’s an R and they’re in or running for Congress, they’re working for Trump, not you.

It’s funny how ALL THOSE Republicans felt exactly the same way about Trump as we still do.

I guess we just haven’t gotten to know his finer qualities the way they did.

There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind at this point that Trump is in the Epstein files. The ONLY question is “in what context?”

Was Trump simply a ”client”, a pedi file who raped underaged girls provided by Epstein and Maxwell? Or was Trump more hands on, perhaps with a financial interest?

Trump also desperately wants to shift focus off Epstein. Any feathers he can ruffle regarding Ukraine and Putin will help.

I say this in light of a firm belief that EVERYTHING Trump does is FOR Trump. In his mind, he is the US. Therefore if it’s in Trump’s interest it’s in the US national interest.

Maybe she can borrow Trump’s jobs chart. Just change the axis titles. Why re-invent data when it’s not actual data anyway?

When Texas decides to change the rules and no one stops it, they have effectively changed the rules across the board. Dem states need to realize that gerrymandering and redistricting at will is no longer “cheating” - it’s the new rules. And they should play by them.

I’m looking forward to Congress coming back, confident that Trump’s fixers doctored, redacted, and selected some version of the Epstein files they feel they can release without destroying Trump. And the inevitable leaks, corrections, and gap-fillers they will have to chase down and try to quash.

I hope that Virginia Giuffre’s family realizes that every time Trump declares something a “hoax” is in fact an admission of guilt.

He cannot counter claims with evidence and reason, so his go-to is ALWAYS (and always has been) to yell “hoax” and call his accusers names. It’s juvenile, for his base

That we are right now dragging off to concentration camps people whose only crime is trying to protect their children while simultaneously shredding laws and the constitution to protect a guy who is almost indisputably a serial child rapist is the greatest condemnation of America I can imagine

While Trump is incapable of feeling shame, the big difference between Trump and Nixon is GOP:

1) At some point, Nixon’s GOP knew he was a crook and a cheat and were prepared to oust him to save the party.

2) GOP always knew Trump is a crook and a cheat and decided Trump is better than democracy.
