Beautiful world?

Long dimly lit room with rows of pinball machines along each side. The glow from the lights of the games light up the room. There are people scattered around playing the games or watching, waiting for their turn to play in a pinball competition.

Good night of pinball last night. Came second at the monthly #pinball comp at The Lanes, in Wellington.

Tieke perched in a tree, glancing at the camera with its wings mid-flap. Torn bark that it has been pecking at is at its feet.

Tieke with a beak full of bark fragments (presumably nesting material).

Tuuii perched in a small kowhai, head angled up to sip from a hanging flower.

Tuuii full stretch on a kowhai, body elongated as its reaches up to drink from a flower.

Some very photogenic nectar-eaters at either end of my walk this morning. Stoked to get the tieke with wings spread in the first shot; don't think I've ever really seen that before, let alone got a decent shot of it.

We're at the Wellington Home & Garden Show this weekend! Multimorphic's Princess Bride and Barrels of Fun's Labyrinth are on freeplay, so come and enjoy some pinball at the show!
