the valve index is literally the only seamless steamvr headset. Every other headset requires some sort of app to run in the background that always seems to mess up steamvr.

I love video editing, money, VR, money, money, and LeBron Jamesπ Ask me VR or PC related questions and I probably got an answer

13.01.2025 14:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0are you trying to play them on a vision pro?ππ
12.01.2025 22:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0in that case buy it off of sidequest instead of the official meta store
10.01.2025 17:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0even as a pcvr headset all you have to do is use sidequest to side load virtual desktop and your still not giving meta money
10.01.2025 17:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0until you start making purchases on the meta store, every quest costs them money. If you have a PC just side load virtual desktop to avoid giving them money and just use steamvr instead
10.01.2025 16:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I believe you could use bigscreen to handle both the plex server stuff and watching it with others.
I haven't used it in years but you should be able to just screen mirror your desktop playing the media onto bigscreen
With PS4? no
25.12.2024 05:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0you lowkey screwed yourself valve is VERY generous with returns and if one of your basestations break your gonna have to rely on vive's customer service π
24.12.2024 08:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0or just get a quest 3s for the same price?
24.12.2024 06:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love how the sale for the basestations is just steams regular price for them
24.12.2024 06:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0you have to ease into it. Playing until your motion sick, then taking a break until your better then hopping back into it is the fastest way to get acquainted

23.12.2024 08:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What are your specs, and as for the controllers, Sony did the genius thing to have them connect via BLUETOOTH instead of 2.4ghz like a normal headset, so that could be the controller issue.
21.12.2024 23:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you want to build it yourself you can research EyeTrack VR
21.12.2024 22:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0One reason is that Intel is kinda misleading, saying that they have 20 cores for example, when they actually have 8 real cores and 12 efficiency Cores (I don't even know what they do), while AMD says they have 12 cores and they actually do have 12.
21.12.2024 22:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0okay but if you do add ram or storage PLEASE add it yourself. Nzxt is charging 300 for a 100$ upgrade, for both storage and ram
21.12.2024 22:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0VR chat is dependent on literally everything, so that was the best I could find that is well rounded in parts
21.12.2024 10:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0ngl the PC is kinda overpriced.
A 3050 build for that much.
If your planning on playing VRC specifically, I would recommend this
www.newegg.com/p/N82E168833...
32 gigs of ram (faster than the one on nzxt's site), 4060ti, and an actually good cpu for the same price as the 4060 and 32 gig option.
lowkey all that stuff is getting mad cheap, compared to a few years ago. You can buy a mouth tracker from project Babble for like 45 dollars, and buy slime trackers for around 200 for 5. They both work for pretty much every headset.
21.12.2024 07:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0games are cheaper on oculus and you don't need to pay a subscription to play online, but please get your kid a parent managed account if you doπ.
A switch is cheaper though but the games can get expensive + you need to pay a subscription to play online, but he could take the switch anywhere.
just get him the 1500 smh my headπ€¦π½ββοΈ

Those are all the games I remember that are on quest and multiplayer.
first mistake was playing horizon worlds. Game wasn't good when it was in closed beta, wasn't good when it was in open beta, and it wasn't good when it fully released.
