Canada kills off the penalty. Auston Matthews was on the edge of the crease and got cute rather than shooting the puck on net. Then Shea Theodore panics out of the box and ices it. Had Mark Stone on an odd-man rush if Theodore just looked up.

Brock Nelson draws a hooking penalty on Shea Theodore and the US is going on the power play, already up 1-0 on Canada, with 2:57 left in the 1st period.

Brady puts the puck right on Suzuki's stick for a grade-A chance and Suzuki misses the net.
