We are potty training both of our kids at the same time, and to say it’s chaotic is an understatement. Bullethell Shooters have nothing on this.

My son is currently playing Astro Bot (as usual) and he’s just messing around with the guest bots in the crash site, asking me what game they’re all from.

He’s asked me about the Death Stranding bot, and I t’s far too early in the day to try and explain a Kojima game to a four year old.

I like the concept of them, and they’re partly what drew me to the series in the first place. But they’ve rarely been executed well, which is a bloody shame.

Lovely birthday haul from my family, and you can absolutely tell what bits my son picked.

Nintendo are really missing a trick if they don’t make a new Mario Paint for Switch 2. My son’s been addicted to the original SNES game via NSO, all week.

How does Kirby Air Ride get a sequel but it’s been 20+ years since we got a sequel to F-Zero GX?!

Despite coming home empty handed, and finding out that day that I get nervous tics, it was a great day out. Had lunch in the canteen with Trev & Simon, who were great (and as an avid watcher of Going Live/Live & Kicking, it was especially cool!)

The audition was completely quiz focused - No gaming whatsoever (unlike GamesMaster auditions). I definitely remember being asked who the dog was in Jet Force Gemini (Lupus) and when PAC-Man was released.

I played Rayman 2, Sonic Adventure & Um Jamma Lammy. We had to do a second take on a couple of the quizzes because I buzzed too soon, guessing Tekken 3’s intro from the first second.

Yeah, I did really like the format! I was there for almost whole day of filming for 1 & 1/2 episodes (I easily won the quiz rounds but did real bad at the challenges - It wasn’t made clear that I could practice!). It was pretty cool to see a retail EU Dreamcast set months before launch!

A kind gentleman even gave my son a 3D-printed Astro Bot because he was decked input in his favourite Astro Bot clothes (and his walker is decked out with Astro Bot stickers as well!)

Back from the first Crawley Retro Market and we had a great time. My boy did so well in a busy environment and other people were mostly very accommodating around him and his walker and giving him space to look at stalls. He loved the pinball tables - First time he’s ever seen one!

My boy and I are off to the Crawley Retro Market in a mo! It’s the first time he’s been to something like this, so it’s quite exciting!

It’s an absolutely lovely bit of kit. Feels so good in the hands. I couldn’t decide whether or not to get the first run, and when I realised I wanted one they were sold out. Glad to finally have one!

Picked up a Modretro Chromatic, which arrived yesterday. Initial thoughts are very good, just need to dig out my Everdrive. Screen is really, really nice. Behaves just like the original GBC, just with a backlight!

Another completion! Mega Man 11 was a fun one, especially trying to finish the game in 60 minutes (including menus, etc)

This screen bring back heaps of memories. Didn’t have a PSX so I experienced FFs 7 & 8 through the PC first!

It was our ten year wedding anniversary yesterday, so we saw Back To The Future: The Musical. Highly recommended, lots of fun and some incredible theatre effects!

Another completion! Powerwash Simulator was a nice game to dip into every now and then. Did all the DLC and most of the free content as well.

Got out the LEGO Mario figures out now my eldest is old enough. So much fun, especially with the app

Good point! I have one pretty local to me in Crawley in August, so I’ll finally be table to make it to one!
