in 99% of cases you're right but musically hanoi doesn't really fit into any subgenres maybe outside of punk sometimes

if your definition of glam is just big hair then i guess it could be glam too

i won't deny they're connected to glam metal but the band itself isn't glam metal in any way musically

i think the broad term rock n roll band fits well with hanoi rocks because they don't fit into one category.

there was no intentional style or genre they were aiming for they did whatever they wanted

the glam metal scene were inspired by the look and nothing else. and that doesn't make hanoi rocks glam metal either. they're the furthest thing from metal

hanoi rocks isnt glam metal at all though. it's more glam punk or just rock n roll
