Australian historian Manning Clark and his wife Dymphna

that one overhangs it and obscures it, and you can't expect me to remember that I've bought something like buttermilk! So now I have half a gallon of the stuff. I hear that American style buttermilk pancakes freeze well.
I'm drinking a modified Negroni. Not "my take on" or "a twist on". Modified.
I bought buttermilk today planning on making a buttermilk cake. I bought beer too. When I went to put the beer on the shelf at the bottom of the fridge door there was an unopened quart carton of buttermilk (best before tomorrow) staring me in the mush. I'd forgotten about it because the shelf above

#WhatsOnTheWireless? One of those pieces of music you know because it's been used in numerous TV ads and for its comic effect in plenty of TV comedies and films, like The Skaters Waltz, that bit from Romeo and Juliet and whatever the piece is when they want sadness.

This musical #DFCOC is a gem from the truly wonderful Absurd label (ABSURD 10), and one of my favourite band names of all.

Jeff's blooms are just about done and he's setting seed. Not bad considering he was outside for one day's worth of freeze and then indoors in a dark corner for several days during another. I think he bloomed for a few months all together. Well done Jeff. Now what happens? Do you keep growing?

I've made one of my favourite curry side dishes today, pav bhaji. I think of it as a side dish but it's really a popular Mumbai street food served with a roll. It's onions, tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, peas, spices and lots of butter. At least that's how I've made
