No joke, it legit looked better before. And that's not because green tile is my favorite thing. It's because the previous design has a sense of character, place, and time, whereas Trump's redesign is completely devoid of any soul or character, just like he is.

This reaction to COVID is similar to how uninformed people think that Y2K was no big deal. Yeah, it turned out not to be catastrophic because a lot of really smart people worked their asses off to make sure it wouldn't be.

Unfortunately there was a lot of that going around on here after the Israeli embassy murders.

I don't want to arrogantly assume my generation (or even I myself) am immune to techno brain rot, but it does seem like millennials hit the sweet spot for ability to use the internet while still being appropriately skeptical of it, a skill that generations both before and after don't seem to have.

The problem is it takes less far less time to spew out some already-debunked BS and tag it with "do your own research!" than it does to go through the actual research that debunks the BS.

We need a term for the phenomenon of social media rotting the brains of the world's richest and most influential people, and they in turn spreading the brain rot to their millions of followers (see also: Elon Musk and Twitter).

It's darkly hilarious how Trump, one of the most infamous cheaters in public life -- cheats at golf, cheats on his taxes, cheats on his wives -- is always accusing others of cheating.

Okay, leaving aside the obvious false claim that there were no children's hospitals when Schneider was growing up, the claim that kids just didn't get sick back then is patently absurd. The measles vaccine wasn't even created until 1963, the year Schneider was born.

Oh, I don't think this is conspiracy theory territory at all. Republicans have no incentive to reopen the government. Mike Johnson refuses to reconvene the House or swear in duly elected representatives. They're fine keeping everything shut down to let Trump do whatever the hell he wants.

Some people have questioned how they can keep doing that nearly a decade after the game launched. But it's because every new update brings in new players. They just hit their highest numbers since launch. Produce good content, and more people will buy.

I think studios and publishers could learn a lot from the success Hello Games has had with No Man's Sky. Although the game was not great at launch, consistent effort by the studio greatly improved the game. Over the years they've kept adding new content, for free.

Most of the time I wait until a game goes on sale on Steam before I buy. By that time, most of the bugs have been worked out and there are enough reviews to tell whether the game is worth playing or not.

However, there's a big caveat here. Publishers need to stop rushing games out half-finished. I regretted the only pre-order I ever made because the game was so buggy at launch.

I think a case can be made that games should cost more. I'm not sure $100 is right, but I have paid that for the deluxe edition of certain games.

Guess I understand women then because I have a simple answer for all three of these.

I have no common moral framework with people who believe this is right and good.

The cruelty of this is that some immigrants have no meaningful "home" to return to in their country of origin. This is their home now, documented or not.
