On Friday I visited HealthFirst Family Care Center to speak with them about how harmful cuts to Medicaid will impact them as well as Granite Statersβ ability to get the care they need at a price they can afford.
02.08.2025 21:02 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I helped introduce legislation to repeal unconstitutional provisions in the Big Ugly Bill that defund Planned Parenthood.
I firmly believe that people in New Hampshire and across the country deserve access to the basic care that they need.

I remain committed to listening to Granite Staters and fighting for what matters to them in Washington, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Itβs clear: these tariffs are killing jobs, raising prices, and hurting our economy.
President Trump needs to end this misguided policy now.

PASSED OUT OF COMMITTEE LAST WEEK: The Veteransβ Transition to Trucking Act.
This bipartisan bill would cut the red tape for interstate trucking companies to partner with VA, helping veterans get employed & ensuring our trucking industry has the workforce it needs.

Today I met with Parkland Medical Center leaders and staff to hear directly from them about how Medicaid cuts will affect their ability to serve their community.
I'm grateful for their ongoing work to meet the health care needs of people in southern New Hampshire. 2/2
The Big, Ugly Law took health care away from millions of Americans.
There's real concern hospitals wonβt be able to absorb the cost of care for Granite Staters who will be forced to go without coverage, and that could result in cutting back on services, staff, or even closure. 1/2
80,000 veterans have been at risk of losing their homes since the Trump administration abruptly ended the VASP program.
Iβm relieved to see this become law to address a problem they created, and it must be implemented properly to help veterans stay in their homes.

I hosted a listening session in Manchester with local health care providers and community members to discuss the importance of these programs, especially amid attacks by House Republicans and the administration.

30.07.2025 18:17 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 060 years ago today, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed landmark legislation that created Medicare and Medicaid, which have provided millions of Americans with the care they need and deserve to live healthy lives.
Iβll continue fighting to protect these foundational programs.

Since the brutal attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023, I have never wavered in my support for our steadfast democratic ally and the need for security, stability, and peace in the region. I continue to urge a ceasefire deal that ensures the return of every hostage taken by Hamas and maximizes the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza. Time is of the essence. I am horrified by reports of famine and widespread starvation in Gaza. Safe zones must be expanded to ensure adequate aid deliveries can be made, and I support the announcement of new airdrops and the opening of new humanitarian corridors. I continue to urge the Trump Administration and all parties involved in the distribution of aid to work together to use every tool to ensure humanitarian assistance can reach civilians who desperately need it.

People deserve to make their own personal health care decisions β without extreme politicians and judges taking away their ability to access care.
This fight isnβt over.

I joined staff and residents of Hillsborough County Nursing Home to hear directly from them about how the Big, Ugly Law jeopardizes their services and care.
I will continue working to protect health care access and other essential programs for New Hampshire families and seniors.
This week the House passed the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2025.
On the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committeeβs Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Subcommittee, I worked to ensure this bill delivers for NH and our Coast Guard.

26.07.2025 18:20 β π 54 π 13 π¬ 2 π 1Today is the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This landmark civil rights law prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life and works to ensure they have the same rights and opportunities as their neighbors.
We all know someone who struggles with their mental health, and LGBTQ+ youth are 4 times more likely to attempt suicide than their peers.
I will continue fighting for the administration to restore 988βs subline for LGBTQ+ youth. Everyone deserves to know they have someone in their corner.
There was no reason why these funds should have been delayed - a delay that continued to cause chaos in our communities.
I'm glad these funds are being delivered following my repeated calls for the Administration to release them, but this mayhem must stop.

Thank you Michelle for sharing your story about how the Republicansβ Big, Ugly Law will have real and devastating consequences for you and so many othersβ ability to get the care you need.
Their law isnβt just big and ugly. Itβs cruel.

Itβs ridiculous that House Republicans canceled votes on Thursday because they are scared of voting on the Epstein files. Release the files and letβs get back to work.

Part of the education funding that was being unlawfully withheld by the Trump Administration has been released.
Iβm pushing the administration to follow the law and release the rest for our schools and families.
