An excerpt from my work in progress fantasy series: "Long had the bizarre visions of a cloaked figure in a shining palace of purple and white plagued Arkyn's dreams. Waking or asleep, these painful flashes of a world that wasn't his broke the monotony of his life as a prince held hostage by his own people. Aesir shared them, too, and always at the same time. Sometimes they were interrupted by visions of a lone gravidove flying amidst the wispy clouds that snaked around the Spires of Orr like tongues of hungry flame. And for his whole life, until this moment, he didn't have a clue why."
