Hello, I've got a new update live for Soil. This time it is possible I have finally fixed multiplayer, replays, some other bugs, and that's about it for this update.
Here's hoping I won't see any "determinism test failed" events on server

This update's main feature is added support for modding and translations. Soil now also has option to use AppData/Local folder for saves and settings or "portable" like until now, surely an exciting feature...

This update brings option to reset fleet to default in campaign, filters for selection, added camera intros to missions, and a little bit more.

Under the hood it runs on this library enet.bespin.org (reliable UDP). On top of that most of what is sent is player's orders, which is just the "deterministic lockstep", so I wouldn't go as fas as "invented"

Yes, custom. It started as a learning project, so I went that way. Using one of the big engines would be much faster though :)

This update includes new campaign mission, space shockwaves and gas rendering optimizations, alongside other smaller improvements.
