When I first became a Head, I wanted someone to call about stupid little things. Also, someone completely objective and nonjudgmental to visit my school and tell me what they saw. No agenda, no personal bias, but helpful suggestions. I'm thinking of starting something like this.

I have rarely agreed more with a post! I think most new heads would welcome this kind of thing.

I think it's the legal backing that parents feel they need - the sense that the school *has* to do X or Y because it's in the EHCP - even if they would have been doing it anyway and/or it might not be that useful.

Fantastic writing and very interesting tale of a couple in Morocco after WW2. I wasn't aware of the tensions in the country at the time and this was a real insight into the period and the idea of loneliness and being an outsider. 4.5/5

Can’t believe they released the Epstein files to cover up for the Melania movie.

Ah, that is very sad. She wasn’t just great, she was great in everything.

No head wants to suspend. But the narrative here is about the child who has been suspended and neglects the rest of the pupils, and the staff, and the impact of an individual on the rest of the community.

How can we safely run a school when a pupil repeatedly flat out refuses to follow instructions?

3. Am pretty sure this isn't what's meant though. Suspect means don't externally exclude for what is often called "persistent disruption" or "defiance." In practice this usually means children flat refusing to do what they are asked to by any adult. This is incredibly hard to manage..
