Part Wuthering Heights, part Daisy Jones and the Six but focused on ice dancing. I read this really quickly but there were a lot of holes in the plot 3/5

Beautifully written and full of heartache, nostalgia and lyricism 4/5
When I first became a Head, I wanted someone to call about stupid little things. Also, someone completely objective and nonjudgmental to visit my school and tell me what they saw. No agenda, no personal bias, but helpful suggestions. I'm thinking of starting something like this.

27.02.2026 18:49 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think it's the legal backing that parents feel they need - the sense that the school *has* to do X or Y because it's in the EHCP - even if they would have been doing it anyway and/or it might not be that useful.

Trigger warning - starts with a couple deciding to end their lives so they don't have to live without each other and then recounts their love story from teenage sweethearts to old age. A bit too saccharine for me 3/5

Fantastic writing and very interesting tale of a couple in Morocco after WW2. I wasn't aware of the tensions in the country at the time and this was a real insight into the period and the idea of loneliness and being an outsider. 4.5/5

Harrowing. What a tragic life and loss of life. Particularly interesting to read whilst the revelations are still ongoing and perpetrators still free and victims still awaiting justice.

29.01.2026 19:34 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How can we safely run a school when a pupil repeatedly flat out refuses to follow instructions?
29.01.2026 19:31 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 03. Am pretty sure this isn't what's meant though. Suspect means don't externally exclude for what is often called "persistent disruption" or "defiance." In practice this usually means children flat refusing to do what they are asked to by any adult. This is incredibly hard to manage..

DfE: Schools should be mobile phone- free environments.
Also DfE: Weβd like students to have an education records app and theyβll need to bring their phones into school to get it set up.
A headline from the Faily Mailograph, that reads:ββI was going to vote for Burnham. Now Iβll back Reformβ The Telegraph asks Gorton and Denton constituents who they want as their next MP. Itβs not good news for Starmer"

What are peoples go to for initial set up? Pen and paper? Excel? Straight into timetabling software?
Any retweets outside of maths would be great too.
