Rhode Island friends: RIPTA’s section of @govdanmckee.bsky.social’s FY2027 budget will be up for a hearing tomorrow at 4:30 pm (State House Room 35)
While Gov. McKee’s budget allocation of $13.8m prevents cuts from happening this year, it’s not enough to reverse the devastating cuts from last fall.

This. Exactly.
2- and 3-wheeled vehicles have delivered more emissions reductions than #EVs, globally.
And you get fewer children & youth killed by cars. And better cities. Win-win-win.

Thank you Congressman for holding the line and for your amendment. ICE must be defunded and abolished.

Thank you for holding the line senator. But ICE can't be reformed. It has to be defunded and abolished.

This is also why movies like No Other Land and the Voice of Hind Rajab are important. Because they humanize the victims of Israel's ethnic cleansing and show that there are human beings behind the numbers. /2/end

This is key to the gaslighting that #Israel has engaged in for the past few years. Israeli victims are always named, as each Israeli life is assigned uncountable value. But Palestinians? You can kill tens of thousands of children and no one will know their names. Lebanese will be treaded the same./1

If Susan Collins had ever seen a friend die in combat in front of her, maybe she wouldn't be so quick to vote to send more Americans to die.

USUALLY presidents getting blame or taking credit for gas prices (or local crime rates, or etc etc) is dumb, because it’s a commodity whose price is set on a global market, USUALLY for reasons having little to do with the White House’s occupant. But this is 100% directly Trump’s fault.

We should be clear that this failure has been going on for years under McKee and that McKee only got rid of Alviti as one of several desperate election year ploys.
We need an actual leader as governor. McKee ain’t it. /2

Worst roads, high costs: Why RIDOT struggles with paving despite $1 billion transportation budget
The condition of Rhode Island’s state roads is so bad it was — literally — off the chart in a recent study.
Part of former Director Alviti’s mismanagement of RIDOT was his focus on expanding highways instead of maintaining the arterial roads they control. And we see the results: #RhodeIsland has the worst roads in the nation.
@govdanmckee.bsky.social enabled this failure. /1

This is exactly why @govdanmckee.bsky.social’s plans to gut our #renewableenergy programs will not deliver the affordability that he and his compromised administration figures (Kearns, George) claim.

There is no common ground with these people. Those who are not jailed for actual crimes must be out-organized, politically defeated and marginalized, and shamed back into silence like they were back when we were a civilized society.
And that's the best possible outcome. /2/end

CPAC Head Says Iranian Schoolgirls Are Better Dead Than “in a Burqa”
Leading Republicans don’t seem to care about the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran.
The #MAGA- #Fascist take on bombing children:
“It’s hypocritical to say that these attacks harmed women and children when those women and children, the young girls that you reference, would be … live a life in a barbaric, unequal society behind a burqa..." /1

We have ignored and funded Israeli war crimes for years. And now we are committing our own.
This sickens me. Every Republican in the Senate, and @fetterman.senate.gov, are responsible for enabling this.
