I read 29 books in 2025, didn't quite meet my goal because I've been too tired to read much since starting my new job. But I'm planning to get back into it in the new year! My favorite fiction was probably Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle (a bit of a surprise, considering that author's other works, lol). Runner up would be Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield. Favorite nonfiction was definitely Disarming Leviathan by Caleb Campbell (topic: Christian Nationalism), and an extremely close runner up would be Transforming by Austen Hartke (topic: transgender Christian experiences). Favorite audiobook performance (and this is the new favorite audiobook performance of all time for me, surpassing Black Sun by Roanhorse) is Grief is the Thing with Feathers by Max Porter. Do not listen to this while driving like I did, ended up having to squint at the interstate through tears. It is brutally good.
