Same here! It’s honestly heartbreaking

It would be great to get a steady art career but I’m not expecting it, especially not from a school. I am however eager to hopefully give some positive change and be an example to show the kids and staff that change can happen if you do something about it, even if it’s a small change!

I think it would especially give the art students a little bit of hope that their artwork is appreciated. I’m suspicious too but I’m not afraid to fight back if needed. I hope so too, the students need to see that their school is willing to take accountability & change for the better

I might have to create a separate art account for them to see my art so they don’t come across my more raunchy stuff by mistake lol

Honestly! It teaches all the wrong things and then the schools wonder why students are submitting ai instead of doing the work themselves.

We are the adults and we need to lead by example - they’re still learning right from wrong and they’re never going to learn if we don’t do our part!

Complaining without any suggestions on how to improve and tackle the problem.I hope they offer to give me a salary but even if they don’t, at least my small contribution will make a bit of a difference (I hope)

I can’t do much to battle the overall problem but hopefully I can help show the kids at this school that art has value and show the administration at other schools that they have other options that don’t involve using gen ai

The head teacher replied to my email and tried to give some excuses while claiming she is passionate about the arts. She did however seem very happy that I had offered to help, assured me that my work wouldn’t be fed to AI and wants to discuss collaborating with me further for the school

I’d be happy to make art for them but I don’t trust them not to feed it to AI. I hope that they take my advice though of uplifting the students by showing off their artwork to represent the school instead of the soulless slop they’re doing right now 💔

It frustrates me so much! They preach about kids not cutting corners but don’t lead by example. They have so many artistically talented students and they choose to use AI instead of asking the students if they would like to show off their art skills, it makes no sense at all!

I'm so tired of my kid's school using AI, I've emailed the headteacher directly to scold her for using it and teaching children that it's okay to steal and cheat if it makes life easier. I told her I would create art for the school myself if I could guarantee it wouldn't be fed to AI by their staff.
