09.03.2025 04:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Absolutely gorgeous zibibbo from patelleria made by gabrio Bini. Peaches and stone fruit, spicy acidity on the finish, insanely perfumey and aromatic, rare and tiny production but so glad I got one. Itβs from 2022 and zibibbo is a type of muscat but this isnβt sweet at all
21.02.2025 06:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just listened to thantifaxath and couldnβt get into it. Just sounded like that whole crowd of post-DSO bands. Do I just not like metal anymore??

13.02.2025 06:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Cinsault, Aramon, Syrah and perhaps other grapes, this is a red field blend from languedoc made by Jeff coutelou. He consistently makes deep, complex wines that are also super drinkable and this was no exception. Spicy, floral, with some mushroom notes and deep red and black fruits, mostly berries.
13.02.2025 06:24 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Unsurprisingly, the research team includes racialists lol
13.02.2025 05:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thereβs a new paper by some geneticists and linguists about their latest theory of a PIE homeland and theyβre seething at the criticism that this is all made up and spurious research

12.02.2025 00:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Whatβs the state of the discourse re that PIE paper on here? People realize that field is full of shit and has no credible theory of history yea?
12.02.2025 00:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tasting these was a blessing, one I may never have again lol. That Brignot is like $600
09.02.2025 06:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh mannnnn last night I was invited to come meet this guy who had just been to a wine auction and brought in his haul? Some very hard to get Japanese wines, a beautiful PN from Alsace, and an ultra rare brignot savagnin 2004 from the jura

07.02.2025 11:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Idgaf if theyβre not in anymore tbh itβs all Iβm wearing. I still like the feel better and canβt stand having extra fabric rustling around
07.02.2025 11:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is so fucking good. Itβs a triple cream cow milk cheese that is so creamy it just falls apart and oozes out when left at room temp. I finished this 12 ounce wheel in three days
05.02.2025 11:46 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Jura savagnin from last night. Bright and floral, not oxidative at all, which is a little uncharacteristic for the region. Lemon, lemon leaf, very soft and rounded and lovely with a tinge of beeswax and pollen. Very spring time wine
05.02.2025 09:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Forgot to post this one. The first natural dessert wine Iβve ever had, from one of the all time greats of natural wine, oh my god this is good. Sure, itβs got silky botrytis and honey, but itβs also got a background acidity and savoriness to it. I could drink this all day ngl
02.02.2025 05:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Last thing we opened last night was this. Itβs a β¦ cider? Idk man itβs a coferment of Syrah and some sort of apple. This might have been my fav thing from last nights soirΓ©e. Sharp, toasty, awake and delicious with a beer like texture
02.02.2025 05:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Second is the new vintage (2023) that just released from Andrea Calek! This oneβs 80% Viognier and 20% Chardonnay. Like all ardΓ¨choise natural wines this oneβs got lots of acidity and minerality, with a nice mild smoke and unripe stone fruit taste (peachy/aprioctish). Loved it!
02.02.2025 05:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Two wines from this Friday. First is Gregory white, 2022 chenanson β a grape no oneβs ever heard of, or at least none of us had? β from languedoc. 1L bottle for $27, fucking party wine lol. Actually tastes like grapes. Light, flowing, graceful and fun
