I agree that assortative mating, population stratification, etc. has greatly influenced past findings.

I agree that she is an amazing artist & kind that you say it! But I don't agree the @dr-appie.bsky.social et al paper is 'bad science'. We argue that social structural factors, like environment, families, assortative mating & population stratification ARE important AND impact estimates.

This is interesting to read - 15 years ago I wrote a textbook using R for survival & event history analysis
Many warned me not to focus on R, that it was a passing hype, that I would regret it.
R is a great example of #OpenScience
