I am genuinely unsure what’s happening to the Speaker these days. Wasn’t Adams indicted for corruption, seen to be visibly swearing allegiance to Trump in exchange for a pardon, and then found to be negotiating with Trump for a reward if he dropped out? Does the virtue of civility know no bounds?

Many years ago, most butchers outside of Chicago were using tainted or old meat. Putting ketchup on it covered the “off” taste. Not using ketchup became a marker for meat quality, and given that Chicago was a meat processing hub, a local point of pride.
