Today, I took the oath of citizenship of the United States. Standing beside these words, etched in the history of immigration, diversity, and belonging, was a reminder that my path is now part of this broader story (1/2)

The world has lost one of its greatest visual storytellers: Sebastião Salgado, a dear friend.

With his lens, he captured not just images, but truths about beauty, injustice, dignity, and the fragile state of our planet.

My heart goes out to his beloved wife Lélia Wanick Salgado, and to their sons.

#COP16 in Rome delivers a lifeline to the global biodiversity framework, without solving the real financial issues but with a plan that could lead to solutions for financing biodiversity in the next decade. Necessary? Yes. Enough? No.
