Language connects generations & cultures — and this new centre will promote high-quality Mandarin education while sharing Tzu Chi’s humanistic values with our broader community.

Honoured to attend the Hon Hsing Open House in historic Chinatown: powerful example of how old heritage buildings can be stabilized to support businesses.

Especially moving to see the preserved living conditions from the era when my ancestors first built their lives here: treated with the respect.

Heartbroken by the tragic shooting in Tumbler Ridge. My thoughts are with the victims, their families & entire community during this incredibly difficult time.

We remember the 6 million Jews & all victims of the Holocaust, honor the survivors, and reaffirm our commitment to confronting antisemitism & all forms of discrimination, hatred, and intolerance—wherever they appear. 🕯️Never forget

Hosted my regular Chinatown Open Office, bringing 30+ residents & business owners:long-time business owners, new entrepreneurs, newcomer, young artist

We discussed public safety, affordability, culture event, permit, parking & housing： all key to building a safer, cleaner & more vibrant Chinatown!

Visited 20+ businesses in Chinatown last week — listening to owners & customers about challenges & opportunities.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive. One owner said their revenue is up 20%!

We’ve made great progress, but we’re not stopping here: more to come for this historic neighbourhood.

VanStat will make Vancouver’s city government more transparent, accountable, and results-driven — breaking down silos so departments work together, not separately.

Residents should experience an integrated city, not 15 departments — and VanStat ensures we deliver services that way. 💪🏙️

Every Child Matters & Survivors Flags are raised to honour Survivors, remember those who never returned home & remind us all the work is ongoing 🧡

Crime, violence & public disorder touch every community in BC. At @UBCM #UBCM2025, I joined my fellow colleagues across the province at the Legislature to call for urgent, coordinated action. #SaveOurStreets

This is not a partisan issue—it’s about safer streets & healthier communities for all!

Day 3 at UBCM, had a great meeting with minister farnworth. pushing hard for UBCX extension. Our students, workers & families deserve fast, reliable transit which will generate huge benefits for transportation, housing, environment, economy & reconciliation
