Wish I could say I was feeling better than I am. Work has been just relentless, for a while and that doesn’t look like it’s going to be changing anytime soon. Maybe even worse is that pretty much everything I used to enjoy doing with the little free time I had no longer seems to provide any escape.

I assumed not everyone in attendance at these boardroom meetings had all the information. Burke knew things and kept a lot to himself. As for the beacon in ALIEN, I don’t think that was man made. The other deaths, I assumed those happened on other planets during collection attempts.

I think the Lord of the Flies comparison is fair. Wendy believes that she’s somehow above the failings of humanity. It occurred to me that most adults teach their children to behave civilized but left on their own, or without guidance they devolve into predators in their own right.

I kind of see Wendy as a villain too, but also a victim. Her killing others or allowing others to be killed reduces her, imo. She has the mind of a child but acts like a seasoned adult with few boundaries. She calls the aliens honest, but I feel she’s not being honest about her new reality.

Ok. So.. over all, I really enjoyed the first season of #ALIENearth, but this last episode was a mixed bag in my opinion. If the goal was to point out how horrible people are and then go on to show how even synthetic people can be horrible …what’s the point?
