Well I figure I may as well start posting one of my images πŸ˜€
And we'll begin with what I'm best known for - my photographs of Colorado sunflowers!

"It's not the camera but how you use it."
I think this image taken at Sloan's Lake Park in #Denver #Colorado illustrates that quote quite well. Shot on my old Samsung Galaxy S7 in RAW & edited in Lightroom & Photoshop. It's amazing how far we've come, I tell ya.

Finally was able to snag a photograph of a Burrowing Owl a few years ago & had great light to work with during morning golden hour. I literally waited years to get this shot & I was screaming loudly after clicking the shutter lol

Hope you enjoy it πŸ˜€

I love shooting during golden hour & blue hour. In fact, that's like 95% of my photography. And this is a great example why.

It's all about the light! πŸ˜ƒ

Fall is my favorite time of the year & as a photographer it's my busiest time. Colorado offers many things to photograph & the terrain is incredibly varied.

multiple coloured bubbles floating through the air

My 7 year old Granddaughter had an idea last night. She wanted me to take pictures of bubbles made by a bubble maker toy she got for her birthday. So she made the bubbles and I took the pictures! Strikes me as a happy, hopeful picture. And a good distraction from the news. #Photography

The common name of the plant (botanically incorrect) is "white acacia". The clusters of inflorescences are similar to wisteria
Large trees 20-25 m high (can reach 30-35 m) and a trunk diameter of up to 1 m. Shoots are bare or initially slightly pubescent, angular, olive-green to shiny reddish-brown. Leaves are light green with a silvery tint, alternate, odd-pinnate, 10-25 (up to 45) cm long. At the base of the leaves are paired spines up to 2 cm long, which are modified stipules and break off quite easily.

At the base of the leaves are paired spines up to 2 cm long, which are modified stipules and break off quite easily. Leaflets 9-19 in number, elliptical, 2-4.5 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, rounded or sometimes slightly notched at the top and then with a very short spine, with a rounded or broadly wedge-shaped base, pubescent when young, later bare, light green above, glaucous-light green below, sitting on petioles 1-2 mm long; at the base of each petiole there is an awl-shaped soft stipule equal to about half the length of the petiole.
Flowers:
Inflorescence - many-flowered (5-15 flowers), drooping raceme 10-25 cm long. Flowers sit on pubescent pedicels 6-12 mm long. Flowers are numerous, fragrant. The calyx is broadly bell-shaped, 7-10 mm long, 5-9 mm wide, densely pubescent with reddish, short hairs, the teeth of the calyx are 2-3 times shorter than the tube, triangular. The corolla is white or slightly creamy, up to 3.5 cm in diameter, the sail is 1.5-2 cm long and 1.3-1.7 cm wide, with a greenish-yellow spot at the base; the wings are almost equal in length to the sail, the keel is blunt. Flowering occurs, depending on the species and region, in May - June or July
