Frickin' Dances with Wolves is what got me into real Western history. (I was a sappy teen, don't judge me.) Dang Hollywood white savior movie. I read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee after that and was never the same. I realized the truth was being hidden from me. So, I started seeking it out.

Last night was the 40th reunion of an all-ages music venue called Einstein's a Go-Go and I got to dance with people and friends I've been dancing to the same songs with for 30 years. It was glorious and soul-mending. Dancing with your community is bliss. I'm so thankful for all of it.

A club full of people who have been dancing together for the past 35 years. We grew up at a historic all ages music venue that hosted everyone who is anyone: Einstein's a Go-Go.
