Congrats to our SDL team for successfully presenting three papers at the 11th Conference of the European Survey Research Association(ESRA) #ESRA2025, which was held at Utrecht University between July 14 and 18, 2025!👏🏻

It further presents findings on attitudes toward gender norms and sexual minorities in Turkey during COVID-19, highlighting how social tolerance and belief in patriarchal values differs by gender.

The last section, Gender, explores the distribution of household responsibilities among men and women, underlining the persistent gender inequalities in the domestic sphere during the pandemic.

...and beliefs in health-related conspiracy theories, and vaccination history, offering a comprehensive understanding of public perceptions of government and vaccination.

The third section, Institutional Trust and Vaccination, examines public trust and vaccination attitudes in Turkey. It covers trust in others, confidence in government institutions, perceptions of the health system, satisfaction with COVID-19 response efforts...

...and preferred methods of contraception as well as changes in relationship dynamics during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The second section, Family, provides insights into reproductive choices and romantic relationships, detailing participants’ family structures, intentions regarding future parenthood, reasons for not intending to have children, contraceptive use by marital status...

It analyzes gender disparities in employment and education, evaluates religiosity through beliefs about God and religion, and explores political orientations and generational trends by age groups.

The first section, Sociodemographic Characteristics, outlines respondents’ gender and age distribution, as well as their self-identified social class, education level, employment status, religiosity, and political stance.

In a similar fashion, I would like to extend a hand to future members of our lovely SDL team as I say goodbye to my undergraduate years. If you are interested in investigating the social world from a quantitative perspective, you don't have to do it alone!...

Therefore, I thank my teammates for providing me with a great example of discipline and patience. When I first joined this group, the guidance of existing members—particularly my wonderful friend Ladin—was very helpful in making me feel comfortable being my own self in the lab...

From writing project proposals to implementing a country-wide survey, the last two years of creating the Turkish Social Values Study project would not have been possible without the perseverance of each member of this fantastic group...

Working in a group also taught me to value the process itself rather than merely focusing on the outcomes, as I experienced how a research project unfolds in a sophisticated way only through a commitment to caring about every detail...

research with other radiant souls, where everyone can bring their own story to the table without feeling judged. Sustaining such a nurturing hub is not an easy task, and I thank Dr. Ceylan Engin with my whole heart for making that possible...

The supportive lab environment has extended beyond the limits of the university, turning collegial relationships into strong friendships—the greatest blessing I will recall from my Boğaziçi journey. SDL taught me that academia is much more fun when you get to create meaningful...
