What's the point of all this?
The Mets are better positioned than you might think to call up quality talent from within—or to trade for quality MLB talent.
I'm not saying all these players will be impact MLB regulars. Some will rise. Some will fall.
But all will play in MLB, and all currently rank among the Mets' top prospects.
Voit is the only one who has not yet reached Double-A, and that's because he was drafted this year.
In fact, one could build a functional near-future lineup of Mets prospects

What is perhaps less appreciated is the proximity and diversity of the Mets' prospect crop
Every member of the organization's Top 10 Prospects performed at Double-A or higher
McLean, Tong & Brandon Sproat reached MLB. Carson Benge, Jett Williams and Ryan Clifford topped at Triple-A
You probably know that the Mets had a good year on the farm.
High-A Brooklyn and Double-A Binghamton won league titles with quality prospects.
Low-A St. Lucie lost in the playoffs.
Nolan McLean developed into a frontline SP prospect. Jonah Tong was Pitcher of the Year. Etc.
So, the Mets are in the news . . .
While I don't know what the Mets' major league roster will look like in 2026, I recently finished writing scouting reports for their top 30 prospects.
