6. Share the author’s posts on social media. Follow them on social media sites and share with your networks.

7. Talk about the book with friends. Or parents of your child’s friends. Or your hairdresser. Or your cobbler. Or really anyone you know.

4. Share the book cover on social media. Post it, gram it, tok it, reel it, floop it, myspace it, whatever. Most importantly, though, share how excited you are to read it.

5. Talk about the book with your local booksellers. There are a lot of great books out there. Get this book on their radar.

2. Then reserve it at the library. Increased interest is noticed by librarians. They're smart people. They'll order more copies. While you're at it, request any books by the author you haven't read.

3. Mark the book "Want to Read" on goodreads. You can do that on each book's page below the book.

1. Request that your local library purchase a copy. This can be done in person or often in an online form.
