5) Speaking of next year, I’m expecting to be talking about The Life of Chuck a lot, and can I start the Oscar buzz for Joan Collins to land her first Oscar nomination at the age of 92 for playing Wallis Simpson in The Bitter End.

4) Sean Baker was unlucky not to win 5 Oscars. Next year Casting is introduced and he cast Anora.

3) The Wiz 2, Wicked 1. Unexpected that more songs (Home and Ease On Down The Road) were performed from the 1978 musical film, than from the 2024 box office smash.

2) The only person I saw queue-jump the 15 minute A-list line for photos at Vanity Fair was Jeff Bezos. I’m going to check our rushes to see if I got the moment on film. He snuck in behind Sebastian Stan, who had waited beautifully.

I’m just back from The Oscars: a few thoughts.
1) Every acting prize went to a leading role. Kieran Culkin was actually on screen for a higher percentage of his film (65%), than Adrien Brody (60%).

Paul McCartney in Manchester tonight was simply magnificent. To hear that back catalogue being sung with such utter enthusiasm by someone who is 82, was staggering.
