I haven't deleted Twitter yet, however ever since Blue Sky has taken off the number of this is basically my only notifications on Twitter.

Or the age of consent.

You can't say facts matter, then dedicate your space to a shouting match about said facts. CNN lets example Scott Jennings claim Biden has dementia, but when someone says the same about Trump he yells at them for not being a doctor. This passing for news analysis makes objective truth subjective.

For me as a regular news consumer, the issue with CNN et al., is mostly two things. One is the lack of depth and complexity of issues where a small summary is provided, the second is everything is put through a lense partisan actors discussing the issue in a whataboutism matter.

I have to agree heavily with the too DC/NYC focus. When California had the organized effort to recall our Governor that barely was covered on CNN, but the NYC mayor's race dominated coverage.

You have a 24 hour news network, that in reality I can usually get all the "news" of the day in 30 min.

One thing I think about often, will Never Trump Republicans ever feel home again in the GOP or will we end up with realigned parties with perhaps a centrist/technocrat Democratic party. Part of me would honestly trade off the fringe of my party for the sane ex-Republicans.
