a lot of discourses used in anti- genAI/LLMs assumes that audiences care about other people, and they simply don't!! they care about themselves and maybe like 3 other people. we have to make messaging personalized + direct. we have to teach people why it matters to THEM.

"think about the artists and writers and makers whose work has been stolen. think about the children whose cognitive abilities are already declining. think about the thousands of people who have already lost jobs and the many millions more who will experience the same thing."

"think about the Congolese children mining the cobalt used in the processing centers. think about the Kenyan workers being paid pennies to sift through horrific content for AI moderation. think about the many Indigenous nations whose land and water are being ravaged."

so many arguments against genAI/LLMs boil down to "care about other humans" and bestie I've got news about how humans feel about other humans. they want them to die. their idea of a perfect existence is one without the ones they don't like. they invented entire religions worshipping this very idea.
