PS: that measurement in your recipe of "3 TL" is a bit weird because they might as well say 1 EL (for the sake of simplicity, having to use only one spoon type during the whole cooking process).

It's practial because it's smth. you use in the kitchen anyways.
I think the US "cup" is a good measurement for recipes, too. Who doesn't own spoons & cups?
TL's/EL's metric equivalents btw.: 5ml/15ml.
I'm sure a cup can also be converted into imperial volume units, like fluid freedom oz. or so. ;)
