(I wasn't aware (or there) during Yoshu's time, but I am really sorry to hear that period ended on a negative note. I definitely understand (and have experienced) how sudden things can change, and how that makes memories feel fuzzy and foreign. It never feels good.)

A man sits alone at a table at a fancy dance party. Suddenly, his heart begins beating faster and louder, and he keels over in pain. Fur spreads all over his body. A long, flat beaver-like tail spills out of his pants and his face stretches out into a duck-like bill. He is turning into a wére platypus!

The wére platypus transformation completes as his hands and feet become webbed and his whole body is covered in fur. He is caught in the middle of the crowded room, standing in a quadrupedal stance. The wére platypus begins crying and runs off on all fours towards the bathroom. Meanwhile, another partygoer, a woman in a purple dress, has secretly transformed into a green wére bird. The bird woman heads to the restroom where the wére platypus ran off to.

The bird woman confronts the platypus man. The wére platypus is surprised to see another wére animal at the party, perhaps he's not a total freak after all. The bird woman grabs the platypus man by the arm and leads him to the dance floor. The pair begin slow dancing, much to the surprise of the rest of the partygoers. Eventually everyone at the party is dancing with a partner, and the wére bird and wére platypus blend in. The final shot of the comic is the platypus and bird sitting outdoors next to a fountain, fist-bumping each other. They're happy.

This #TFTuesday, I'm reposting the comic I commissioned from @emberbat.bsky.social earlier this year. I was super glad they worked with me on this -- I love using transformation art as a form of expression, a way to spread joy and hope and warm feelings.
