Wemby saying in postgame that game feels fast. Seeing a new defensive scheme when in the mid-post and scrambling bodies is an adjustment that all offensive superstars go through. He'll figure it out.

Until that time, I imagine he could mix it up with the mid range + pick and pop.

Wished we won, but can appreciate that we fought hard and gave ourselves a chance to tie at the end. Spurs will start figuring this puzzle out over the next 2-3 weeks and the return of Fox/Harper will ease some of the offensive burden on Wemby.

The immediate double that prevents Wemby from even making a move highlights importance of 3 point shooting and the lack of playmaking around him. Fox and Harper are needed now more than ever

Everybody has an off night, but they could have gotten this. Spurs need to stack up as many of these early wins as they can during the soft part of sched as playoffs is the expectation

1) Spurs need Fox. After Dylan went down, nobody from the perimeter able to consistently break down the D. Castle’s good, but he’s not a pure PG like Fox/Harper

2) The doubles on Wemby will mean open 3s. Need to make them

The start to the season's been so exhilarating and is so much more meaningful because of the struggles in the past few years. The hard work is coming together. No shame in celebrating 5-0.

To me it felt underwhelming because there weren’t as many highlight plays. It felt like he just made a lot of solid plays over 48 and those sometimes don’t catch our attention. Drove alot of ppl out of the paint, grabbing boards, making the right plays overall

The flow of the offense when Dylan’s on the court is so different. Feel like ppl know where they need to be and he has great feel for a rookie.

He’s making a strong case to steal minutes from Fox and Castle early on

Dylan Harper saved us in that 2-3 min stretch when Wemby had to go out. Really solid plays, wasn’t afraid. Super impressive game by the rookie!

I think his defensive effort and improvement, like you said, has been one of the big eye openers to start the season!

He’s going to be a big piece this year for all these reasons. He’s worked on his finishing and while he’s not elite, he’s gotten better defensively.

Everybody wanted to trade him knowing he didn’t have an offseason, missed games to start, and had to find his way in the rotation with the additions of CP and Fox. He had had a good season the year before and everybody forgot.

He was great tonight and he’s gotten better defensively too!
