Thanks for speaking up against this kind of nonsense.

@cantwell.senate.gov

I'm happy to see you so concerned about our access to vaccines, and the ongoing troubles at the CDC. Thank you for staying focused on this.

Thank you for speaking out about these issues!

Imagine if the U.S.(a) legalized all entries that are currently illegal and (b) added an additional one million legal visas available.

After thirty years, we would STILL have a lower foreign-born
percentage of the population than Canada has today.

Thank you for speaking out about this! We're looking to you for leadership and boldness in this area!

This Pat Buchanan quote has been living rent-free in my head:

"If one excludes the Indians, and the Spanish who arrived in Florida and New Mexico in the sixteenth century, England's Lost Colony, and Quebec, the first permanent settlements in North America were Jamestown and Plymouth."

Um... yeah.

Thank you for the information! I've added the number into my phone!

It is a little odd that we make an official ceremony for immigrants to publicly display loyalty to the federal government, but we don't require this of, say, citizens who reach the legal age of voting.

His book on immigration is still seared into my memory as one of the most groan-worthy I've read, which is saying something.

I remember him describing the horrors of human smuggling, then complaining that the victims were coming "the easy way" while he had to wait for his visas... in the U.S.

Police Officer Shot Outside Immigration Detention Facility in Texas

As someone who advocates for immigration expansionism, it's important to call out bad actors when I see them; targeted lethal violence against ICE officers is unacceptable, and it's my sincere hope that everyone involved in the planning of this attack is captured:

Shoutout to @murray.senate.gov on this one. We need to call out good behaviour from our representatives when we see it!

US judge blocks Trump asylum ban at US-Mexico border, says he exceeded authority A federal judge on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump's asylum ban at the U.S.-Mexico border, saying Trump exceeded his authority when he issued a proclamation declaring illegal immigration an emergency and setting aside existing legal processes.

Judge Moss has just issued a ruling against Trump's recent asylum ban!

I've got a restrictionist book from just before the first Trump presidency that says the border wall would only cost $15 billion, and slams claims that it would cost $25 billion as baseless attacks.

Now here we are, with a $45 billion price tag.

Can anybody tell me the 'real story' here? Why would Vietnam agree to a one-way tariff like this? What are they getting out of it?

Watching the current administration discover the downsides of trying to deport millions of low-skill workers is like watching a middle-school student read about immigration for the first time.

"Whoa, people... do you realize just how many farm workers there are in the US? It's crazy!"

It's actions like this that make me proud to be your constiuent.

Thank you so much for this resource! With so much attention on K.A. Garcia, I've been worried that people are getting too distracted from these other, equally deserving cases.

Back in January, Tom Homan specifically said (in an interview with a restrictionist podcast) that he wanted to be held accountable for how many of the 300k "missing children" he would track down and "rescue".

He has since stopped talking about them.

Watching the current administration start openly considering special work-based sponsorships for undocumented immigrants is like watching someone read their first book about illegal immigration.

'Whoa, guys... do you realize how many fruit pickers work in the United States?'

If you have the inclination (or a resource to pass along), I'd be really interested in a breakdown of these dramatically lowered numbers. Is it really the simple case that asylum claims are being processed in Mexico, so almost nobody is getting into the country?

But with Trump's backing, apparently? It's hard to imagine friction between Trump and Miller on this issue, but maybe the administration's approach here is more complex than I realize.

The details of this directive are baffling. It doesn't specifically protect the workers, just the locations; does this mean this order is being given in admission that arrests at these locations are bad optics?

16.06.2025 21:59 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The recent ICE directive to stop arresting people working service industry jobs is an example of how strong the status quo is, methinks. It's like the current administration is only now realizing how difficult the idea of mass deportations will be.

The visciously restrictionist organization ALIPAC may be going under!

I know it's likely just a exaggeration to attract some yearly donations but... a hopeful sign nonetheless.

Here's a shout-out to being a "humble consumer"; our board game preferences should be like our pizza topping preferences. We can celebrate our love of capers and tempeh strips, without the need to describe a topping using words like "dominant".
