Okay my read: since the court struck down the tariffs as unlawful from the start, it's refund time. Jurisdiction will be US Court of International Trade, they'll have to unpack it. But there should be refunds coming. Looks like a complete repudiation of IEEPA-based tariffs and total loss for Trump.

The pullout was quietly finalized late last month, occurring with no public acknowledgment from the White House or the Pentagon. It was a remarkable turnabout after President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had insisted the mobilizations were necessary to combat what they claimed was unchecked violence and to support enforcement of the nation's immigration laws. The deployments — including more than 5,000 troops to Los Angeles, approximately 500 into Chicago and 200 to Portland, Oregon — were ordered despite the vehement opposition from state and local leaders who labeled the administration's actions an unlawful abuse of presidential authority. All of those service members were sent home by the end of January, according to U.S. Northern Command.

All federalized National Guard troops have been withdrawn from LA, Chicago, and Portland per WaPo.

Crucially, they also seized all voter rolls from Fulton County. “This is a seismic event,” Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) told Psaki. “This should have people across the country absolutely shook. This is a huge deal. This is an FBI raid on the Fulton County elections office.... This is a shot across the bow at the midterm elections. He tried to steal power when he lost it in 2020.” Ossoff warned that Americans must be prepared as Trump tries to take away Americans’ right to choose their elected officials in 2026.
